DLSU 247th Naval ROTC Unit holds fundraiser for PSOD

MANILA – Last July 1-5, 2019, the 247th Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Unit of De La Salle University held the Reserve Officers Training Corps Week. The Medics company of the ROTC Unit coordinated with the Philippine Society for Orphan Disorders to assist in the organization’s goal to raise awareness and funds for children affected by rare disorders. As the number of patients under the organization is increasing every year, the organization, being a non-profit, would need external support to keep up their operations.

The booth set-up of the Medics company at the Henry Sy Sr. Hall Central Plaza included a display of posters and awareness videos from the Philippines Society for Orphan Disorders. The Medics cadets also sold merchandise, food, and other goods with the proceeds donated to the Philippine Society for Orphan Disorders. The Medics booth was regarded as one of the most impactful and successful booths in the event.# (Ged Santos/Dominique Ybanez)
