#JEANerosity: “Sewing the Seeds” from your generosity
To be able to cover day-to-day expenses of the family and the cost of care are among the major concerns of many rare disease patient families. Knowing this, the Philippine Society for Orphan Disorders has searched and eventually developed a livelihood opportunity for patient families.
This October 2018, the Philippine Society for Orphan Disorders will be expanding its product line-up under the #JEANerosity “Sewing the Seeds” project. The goal of the project is to enhance the financial capacity of patient families by providing the participating family member with a starter kit and skills training.
Last year, PSOD launched the “Sewing the Seeds” project with the release of limited edition denim Christmas decorations made by the parents of children with rare disease. Proceeds were shared to the participating parent and used in the expansion of the project.
In addition to denim Christmas decors, denim envelopes, tablet cases, cosmetic cases and coin purses will also be sold online through the PSOD Facebook page and PSOD’s Rare Shop.
